2026 IAMA Board Member Elections: Nominations Now Open

As we continue building the Atlanta Chapter, expanding both our membership and the value we deliver, we must also grow the Board’s capabilities and capacity. Strong leadership is essential to our progress, and the 2026 Board Member Election process is now open to all active members. This is your opportunity to help shape the chapter’s direction and strengthen the leadership team guiding our future.

Every program, partnership, and member initiative benefits from an engaged and capable Board. By participating in nominations and voting, you play a direct role in defining our priorities and advancing the mission.

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements for board service are defined by the IAMA by-laws and InfraGard program guidelines. In general, candidates should:
  • Be an InfraGard member in good standing with the Atlanta Members Alliance (IAMA).
  • Be willing and able to commit time to attend meetings and fulfill role responsibilities.
  • Support the mission and objectives of InfraGard and the Atlanta Members Alliance.

All active members may nominate themselves or another member. Required nomination details include:
  • Name & IAMA Member Number
  • Contact information
  • Role of interest
  • Short personal statement on your ability and commitment to fulfill the role

  • Optional résumé or supporting materials

Voting, Verification & Certification

Voting: February 13th - 19th, 2026

Voting will take place through a secure online polling platform. Details and a direct voting link will be provided to all eligible members closer to the start of the voting period. Member verification requires:
  • Full name
  • IAMA Member Number
Each member receives one vote per open position.

Verification & Certification

Per IAMA bylaws:
  1. Secretary — Confirms voter and candidate eligibility.
  2. Board Officers — Review voting totals and validate results.
The Board then conducts a formal vote to certify the election outcome.

Public Announcement: Week of February 23rd, 2026

Election results will be shared via:
  • Email to members
  • Posting on the IAMA website
  • A LinkedIn recognition announcement

Open Positions & Role Descriptions


All Board seats for the upcoming term are open for election. Below is an overview of each role and its primary responsibilities.

President

Term: 2 years Overview: Provides strategic leadership and ensures the chapter operates in accordance with the by-laws.
  • Preside over all regular and special meetings of the organization.
  • Direct committee chairpersons reporting to the President.
  • Ensure satisfactory operation of the organization in line with the by-laws.
  • With the Secretary, sign all written contracts of the organization as authorized by the Board of Directors.
  • Serve for two years from installation and hold office until a successor is installed. If the office is vacated, a qualified member is elected by the Board to complete the term.

Vice President

 Term: 2 years Overview: Supports the President and leads operational maturity and chapter operations.
  • Perform the duties of the President in their absence.
  • Direct committee chairpersons reporting to the Vice President.
  • Manage chapter operations.
  • Continuously improve organizational maturity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

Secretary

 Term: 2 years Overview: Maintains governance records, meeting minutes, and supports elections.
  • In the absence of the President and Vice President, perform their duties at the express direction of the President or Vice President.
  • Direct committee chairpersons reporting to the Secretary.
  • Perform duties designated by the President related to the office.
  • With the President, sign all written contracts of the organization as authorized by the Board of Directors.
  • Serve as secretary for all Board meetings and distribute written minutes to the Board within five (5) business days of meeting end.
  • With the assistance of one non-officer member, conduct and certify the results of all elections.

Treasurer

 Term: 2 years Overview: Oversees financial stewardship, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Be responsible for the funds of the organization and their deposit into approved depositories.
  • Pay all bills within the budget once approved by the responsible officer or committee chairperson.
  • Pay other bills as duly approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain books of account for receipts and expenditures that are always open to Board inspection.
  • Annually prepare a budget for Board approval prior to the start of each fiscal year.
  • Sign all disbursement checks.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on statements of cash flows and forecasts that support the operating plan.
  • Act as financial advisor to the Board.
  • Support planning and execution of special fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide year-end reports of all receipts, disbursements, assets, and liabilities, and additional reports as assigned by the President.

Sponsorships Chair

Overview: Leads sponsor strategy, processes, and engagement.
  • Develop processes to cultivate and manage sponsors.
  • Develop and maintain collateral to enable sponsor engagement and onboarding.
  • Maintain processes to forecast and manage sponsors across AIDAOR stages.
  • Oversee sponsorship processes.
  • Develop and execute a plan to meet agreed sponsorship goals.
  • Train Board members on sponsorship engagement throughout the AIDAOR engagement lifecycle.

IT & Marketing Chair

Overview: Owns the chapter’s technology environment and marketing presence.
  • Create and manage templates for tracking and promoting all promotional activities.
  • Maintain digital properties and tools including websites, LinkedIn page, blogs, and promotional platforms (such as Constant Contact).
  • Manage Office 365 environment and licensing.
  • Manage IAMA infrastructure needs.
  • Develop and execute promotional activities for all IAMA programs, including blog posts, LinkedIn posts, homepage events, outreach email campaigns, registrations, and CPE certificate delivery.
  • Establish and manage Marketing and IT budgets.
  • Provide administrative support to members of the executive team as needed.
  • Develop marketing materials and campaigns as needed.
  • Analyze and report post-event results and lessons learned.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):
  • Experience using event management applications.
  • Experience using CRMs and email management systems.
  • Prior writing or content development experience.

Education & Programming Chair

Overview: Oversees educational content, programs, and training.
  • Organize and oversee educational programs and training sessions for members.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to provide valuable content.
  • Ensure educational offerings align with chapter goals and member needs.
  • Work with the FBI Coordinator to incorporate relevant law enforcement and security topics into educational programs.

Sector Chief Chair

Overview: This role oversees the Sector Chief program. A detailed description will be added based on final guidance from the Board and InfraGard program leadership. More information on this position will be posted soon.

Membership Chair

Overview: Leads membership tracking, engagement, and growth.
  • Act as custodian of chapter membership.
  • Work with Education and Communities Chairs to develop and execute plans to grow membership.
  • Report and provide minutes and records of committee activities to the Secretary.
  • Report on membership demographics, attendance, and engagement.
  • Manage member lists.
  • Work with the FBI Coordinator on membership-related matters.

Communities Chair

Overview: Focuses on external relationships and collaborative efforts that support the chapter mission.

Key Responsibilities

1. Partnership Development
  • Identify potential partner organizations, agencies, and institutions that align with InfraGard’s mission.
  • Lead outreach to potential partners through networking events, conferences, and direct communications.
  • Foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new partners.
2. Collaboration and Coordination
  • Develop and manage joint goals, projects, programs, and initiatives with partners.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with partners to assess whether mutual goals are being met.
3. Advocacy and Representation
  • Advocate for the importance of partnerships in achieving national security objectives.
  • Support public relations efforts that enhance the chapter’s visibility and reputation in collaboration with partners.
4. Program Development
  • Design and implement programs that involve partner organizations, such as joint training sessions, cybersecurity drills, and emergency response exercises.
  • Develop educational materials and workshops in partnership with external experts to enhance member knowledge and skills.
Profile: The Communities Chair should have strong networking skills and strategic thinking abilities to identify and leverage collaboration opportunities that advance both the chapter’s and partners’ goals.
