Katie Ewers has over 20 years of experience in the field of information security. Her experience includes various industries such as healthcare, financial services, consulting, retail and telecommunications. She has held roles such as security application development, IAM program development, security team development, consulting and most recently, Director of Security Operations. Over the past 18 years, Katie has enjoyed being an active member of the information security community in Atlanta. Over the past 11 years, she has enjoyed being a member of the IAMA. Her experience includes attaining several industry certifications including a CISSP from 2000, CISA from 2003 and CISM from 2008. Katie is passionate about business enablement, industry collaboration and program execution.

Throughout his career, Derek has successfully combined his executive management competencies with a business-driven, technology transformation approach to sell and deliver projects in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Technology Consulting Services and Wholesale Distribution.

Monique Hart is a seasoned Information Risk and Security Professional with over 25 years of practical work experience in Information Risk Management, IT Policy and Governance, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response. In addition, her work crosses multiple industries including Media and Entertainment, Product Management, Consulting, Corporate IT Risk Governance & Compliance, and Healthcare. Currently, she leads Information Security for Piedmont Healthcare – an 11-hospital system and the largest healthcare provider in Georgia. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the management of material risk of electronic Health Care information and content as it pertains to Piedmont Healthcare’s business, employee, and patient information.

Mike Estep is the CEO of blueAlliance IT and CEO of BECA – The IT Brain Power Company, with the responsibility for growth and direction of both organizations. He leads a diverse team of highly qualified technology gurus that specialize in solving business problems with technology solutions.
Mike has been a member of the BECA team since 1990 and in 2021 joined forces with other leaders to form blueAlliance IT; which is a national organization combining like-minded leaders to solve common issues that challenge growing IT service providers. Mike has been actively involved in helping businesses with technology related decisions since he began his career teaching Novell networking administration classes in the late 80’s. His focus on protection of client’s data has become a sharper focus in recent years. He is an active member of the CyberNation, as well as an Atlanta Board member of Infragard, a private sector group working hand in hand with the FBI to protect private and public companies. He has served on advisory boards for companies such as Microsoft, WatchGuard, Webroot, NetWrix and on local community boards promoting the growth of youth and high school team athletics.
Mike has a passion for change and the continuing engagement of technology in driving that change. He spends many hours developing and learning in the technology world.
Jason C Maddox

With over 25 years of combined experience as a both a CISO and IT Director, Maddox continually strives to deliver thoughtful Cybersecurity and IT Leadership solutions in areas of strategy, vendor management, negotiations and compliance. Maddox currently leads Cybersecurity for Roark Capital Group, a $25B private equity firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA. In addition, Maddox serves as an advisory board member for Agio, a cybersecurity firm based in New York, NY. He is also an active speaker and has enjoyed presenting at various events including Evanta’s CISO Executive Summit and Private Equity International conferences. With a passion for cybersecurity and technology education, Maddox currently holds his CISSP certification and is a graduate of the FBI Atlanta Citizens Academy.

As Director of Information Security at Aaron’s, Inc.; David is accountable for information security leadership, strategy, budget, and operational excellence. He is a servant-leader and mentor to a robust team of information security professionals and managers covering Application Security, Incident Response, Governance Risk and Compliance, and Endpoint/Information Protection.
David has more than 15 years in the information technology industry in various roles. He has previously served as an Manager of the Threat, Attack and Penetration testing services team, Application Security Architect, deployment manager for SAP deployments, and various lead developer roles for Caterpillar Inc. He has additionally held positions at companies including State Farm Insurance and the Central Intelligence Agency.
David is a regular speaker at colleges, corporations, and industry conferences including the (ISC)2 Security Congress, ISSA, ISACA conferences, and various advisory boards.

Dean is currently the CISO for MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority), the 8th largest transit system in the U.S., and has 20+ years of IT experience, with over 12 year of experience in multiple areas of cyber security in fortune 100 companies. These areas include, computer forensics, incident response, penetration testing, physical security assessments and vendor assessments. He has built and/or matured incident response, computer forensic, e-discovery, risk and vulnerability intelligence programs in several organizations. Dean has completed many individual consulting engagements, from penetration testing, breach investigations, to full gap assessments and providing organizations with cyber security roadmaps. Dean’s security certifications include, CISSP, CCE, and GWAPT and he is also ITIL certified. Dean is a formerly licensed Private Investigator and an Executive Protection Specialist, having provided executive protection services for a local dignitary. He has provided pro bono computer forensic services to local law enforcement and was the Executive Director of R.E.C.O.N., an all-volunteer organization that assisted local law enforcement in searching for missing and abducted children. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Biology and a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security.

President & Chief Operating Officer at Global Risk Advisers
Murang Pak is co-founder and President of Global Risk Advisers and also serves as the Chief Operating Officer. Global Risk Advisers is a consulting firm specializing in enterprise risk management, business due-diligence, and data intelligence. Prior to co-founding the firm, Mr. Pak served in the FBI for over 23 years and retired in 2019.
Mr. Pak has held a number of roles in the FBI as a Special Agent. For the first eight years of his career, he investigated organized crime matters as both a case agent and an undercover agent. He then served his next two years as a Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters in the Organized Crime Section focused on LCN and Italian Organized Crime matters and managed the most high-profile organized crime investigations throughout the country.
As an operational leader, Mr. Pak was responsible for the oversight of a regional undercover program based out of Miami. He provided oversight and leadership of the most sensitive undercover operations throughout the country, utilizing sophisticated techniques, assets, and resources around the globe. Years later, he established the first International Counterterrorism/Counterintelligence hybrid squad focused solely on a specific state-sponsored terrorist country. His work in this field is still classified.
In 2011, Mr. Pak was appointed by the FBI Director to serve as the FBI Senior Liaison Officer to the Department of Homeland Security. There, he managed an FBI staff dedicated to promoting and sharing intelligence between the two agencies and worked very closely with Secretary Janet Napolitano and her executive staff.
As the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Atlanta Division, he has had oversight of the Intelligence Program, the Counterterrorism Program, and the Operational Support program that encompass all specialty squads that work behind the scenes. He was also responsible in overseeing the many private sector outreach programs to include the Domestic Security Alliance Council and InfraGard.
Mr. Pak graduated with a BA in political science from the University of North Florida and with an MBA from Michigan State University. He also received his Executive Certification of Chief Risk Officer from Carnegie Mellon University in 2018.
