Summer Chapter Meeting is July 15, 2015: Dr. Phyllis Schneck to Speak
On July 15 we are hosting a very special guest, the founder of the Atlanta chapter of InfraGard, Dr. Phyllis Schneck.
Dr. Schneck currently serves as the Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) and is the cyber security chief for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). She will be speaking about tactical intelligence sharing. The chapter meeting will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and is open to IAMA members only. RSVP strictly required.
Please arrive early (08:45-09:15) to allow time to pass through the law enforcement post and be escorted to the meeting. No visitors are allowed in who have not pre-registered and are on the list.

Featured speaker: Dr. Phyllis Schneck, chief cyber security official for the DHS and supports its mission of strengthening the security and resilience of the nation’s critical infrastructure. Schneck received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, and pioneered the field of information security and security-based high-performance computing at Georgia Tech. She co-founded the Georgia Tech Information Security Center and the Georgia Electronic Commerce Association’s Working Group on Information Security.
Dr. Schneck founded the Atlanta chapter of InfraGard. She served eight years as chairman of the National Board of Directors of InfraGard, growing the program from 2,000 to over 30,000 members nationwide. She was responsible for the strategic growth and vision of the private sector side of InfraGard, often representing InfraGard in the creation of national policy. She was chiefly responsible for the first Memorandum of Understanding between DHS and InfraGard and increasing InfraGard’s engagement with DHS officials nationwide.
