The IAMA membership meets on a quarterly basis at various venues in the metropolitan Atlanta area.
The first quarterly InfraGard Atlanta Members Alliance (IAMA) meeting of 2012 was held on February 22nd at the FBI Atlanta Division office. Don Jackson gave an eye opening presentation, making this yet again, another valuable gathering for members and non-members alike.
Presentation Abstract: A recent discovery uncovers the state of the art in foreign actors’ cyber espionage tools and tradecraft, exploiting physical access controls and monitoring systems to conduct surveillance on officials of the United States and its allies. In addition to being given examples of specific targeted fields, Don took the audience through the steps of the initial discovery, highlights of analysis findings, and the significant implications of these types of operations.

Don Jackson is an established subject matter expert (SME) and cyber security and intelligence consultant for the US government, law enforcement, trade organizations and the press. He has more than twenty years of experience in information security, software development, and IT, with a focus on protecting national and corporate infrastructure from advanced threats. Specialties include threat research, intelligence analysis, investigations, digital forensics, reverse engineering, and malware analysis. Formerly a senior security researcher, Mr. Jackson is a charter member and director with Counter Threat Unit (CTU) research group at Dell SecureWorks.
